May 2015: Todd Kapostasy, Class of 2002, is the proud recipient of four Emmy Awards for his work as a producer at FOX Sports 1 in Los Angeles. Two of the Emmys were for editing, one was for a short feature and one was for a short form feature. He was recently interviewed on LA's top morning radio station, LA Today 570, as a result of receiving the Emmys.
May 2015: Maria Zampini, Class of 1980, will be speaking at the Perry Library on Tuesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Following her presentation, she'll be doing a book signing of her new book, Garden-pedia. March 2015: Emily Hinton, Class of 2012, earned the Eastern Illinois University Ronald and Myra Jeffris Scholarship. The award is presented to an EIU student who demonstrates academic achievement. Emily is studying accounting.
January 2015: Maria Zampini, Class of 1980, just added “author” to her impressive list of career
accomplishments. June 2014: Jeff Martin, Class of 1988, accepted a position with QRP Corporation as Global Sales/Application Engineer. He relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina for this job. Jeff attended Ohio University and graduated Cum Laude in 1993 with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering. His background in engineering and technology have been an asset in building his career in sales.
June 2014: Alison Wakelee Magyari, Class of 2003, represented Lake County in the Mrs. Ohio Pageant in Columbus. She was the Perry High School Mardi Gras Queen representative in 2003 and earned the crown that year.
June 2014: Caroline Dugan, Class of 2011, received the Amelia & Clara Harding Scholarship at Baldwin Wallace College. The scholarship was established to provide assistance to a motivated English student striving for academic excellence. In presenting the award, BW recognized her academic rigor in all endeavors and goals, which include earning high-school licensure, a second minor in Spanish and TESOL certification.
June 2014: Congratulations to the Perry School staff who retired at the end of the school year. November 2013: Lauren Byrnes '08 was awarded a 2013-14 Fulbright Scholarhip. She will leave in September to work on her master's degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the Universitat Heidelberg in Germany. November 2013: Karen Koch Sundy '88 and Tara Tharp Lynch '95 were recognized by the Perry Area Joint Recreation District for their contributions to the organization. Karen received the Community/Business Supporter of the Year award and Tara received the Youth Activities Volunteer of the Year award.

'10 has built on the foundation she received at Perry High School from her participation in Perry Service Learning under the guidance of teacher Mark Soeder. Rachael is a senior at John Carroll University where she started a chapter of STAND, an international, student-led movement to end mass atrocities. '11 is honoring his parents with a 4,400 mile bike ride which began June 1, 2013 and is expected to end 70 days later. Both of his parents died of cancer, his mom when Jared was nine and his dad last year when he was a freshman in college. He intends to raise more than $10,000 to help battle the deadly disease. The ride began in Baltimore, Maryland and will end just west of Portland, Oregon. '51 and Gaylord Fryer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 9, 2013. Their children hosted a party at the Painesville Elk's Lodge in Painesville that was attended by family, friends and their wedding attendants.
April 2013: Ryan Patriarca '99, is safe at home after finishing the Boston Marathon. He completed the race an hour before the bombings.
January 2013: Ryan Wheeler '03, is engaged to marry Katherine Rudd in June 2013 at St. John Vianney Church in Mentor. Ryan is a 2005 graduate of OSU-ATI in Wooster and is employed as a finance manager at Ricart Ford in Columbus.
January 2013: Bob Dawson '69, was one of four new members inducted into the Ohio Fair Managers' Association Hall of Fame. Bob has had a 34-year relationship with the Lake County Fair, serving 12 years as president and 24 years as concession manager. He has served on the Ohio Fairs Board of Directors for 16 years, including the past 10 years as state treasurer. He is a 2010 recipient of the Ohio Department of Agriculture's Outstanding Fair Supporter recognition and the 2011 Greater Showman's Association Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2012, he was awarded the Grand Master's Community Service Award by the Grande Masonic Lodge of Ohio. In addition to his service to the Fairs Industry, Bob is a 17-year member of the Lake County Board of Education and the Auburn Career Center Governing Board. He was inducted into the PHS Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011 and the Lakeland Community College Alumni Hall of Fame in 2010.
January 2013: Cindy Seese '77 retired from Perry Schools after serving as a physical education teacher for 29 years. She was the perfect fit for the job as she was a star athelete during her high school days and was among the first to be inducted into the PHS Athletic Hall of Fame.
January 2013: Pam Morse '81 does it again! Pam received the unique distinction of being honored for the second consecutive year as the Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce's Citizen of the Year for her commitment to the Fairport Harbor community.
September 2012: Chef Brad Ashburn '77, has just opened the doors to his latest eatery, "Taters." The new restaurant is in Concord Township in the plaza on Route 84 (the plaza at the "big curve"). As the name infers, the specialty is potatoes, boasting 23 choices of potato side dishes, including sweet potato tater tots, diced redskins with onions, and Yukon gold mashed potatoes.

September 2012: Michelle Wheeler '11 was named to the President's List at the University of Toledo.
April 2012: Ryan Harvey '07 graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Training at Parris Island, SC on April 13, 2012.
March 2012: Angelica Zampini '11 was named to the Dean's List at Wright State University for the 2011 fall and winter quarters.
January 2012: Morse Van Lines, owned by Pam Morse '81, was named Painesville Area Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year. The family-operated business has been in Painesville for 50 years and offers moving services throughout the continental United States.
November 2011: Brittany Deas '08 was one of four college students in the state of Ohio to be recognized by the Ohio Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (OAHPERD) for achieving excellence in her studies at Bowling Green toward a degree in Physical Education. Brittany is carrying a 3.90 GPA and has made the Dean's List six academic semesters. She was the receipient of the 2011 Warren and Marion Stellar Scholarship awarded by the Bowling Green Physical Education Teacher Education faculty. This prestigious annual scholarship is awarded to the student who has shown the most promise for professional excellence in the secondary physical education field of study. Brittany is involved in BG's Kinesiology Club and is currently serving as President. She is credited with organizing a successful annual "Toss for a Cause" Cornhole Tournament with 100% of proceeds going to charity. In conjunction with BG faculty, she presented two topics, "What are they thinking?" and "Roman Ball Games," at the annual OAHPERD conference. Brittany has excelled in service both on campus and off campus. She volunteers at Woodlane, a school and community for students and adults with special needs. While juggling her academics and community service, she also serves as a Resident Assistant. The educators who recommended Brittany for the OAHPERD award said she was a "mature, motivated, professional, and dedicated leader among her peers." They went on to say she is "very knowledgeable, organized, enthusiastic, creative, innovative, and a patient young professional. She has a passion for teaching and thinks critically."
September 2011: Elaine Tikka Lillback '42 will be inducted into the PHS Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on September 24, 2011. She has written three books and is currently working on her fourth. She is active in her church and at the Finnish Heritage Museum in Fairport. She taught school in Painesville and Chardon from 1960 to 1984, has done missionary work in Canada and the United States, and has traveled extensively. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Northern Judson College in Chicago, a degree in special education from Bowling Green, her Master's of Elementary Education from Kent State University, and a degree in Economics from John Carroll University.
August 2011: Franklin Siebert '05 is engaged to Mary Christine Gerschutz on September 24, 2011 at Parkview Christina Church in Findlay, Ohio. Franklin received a Bachlor of Science degree in communication in 2009 from Ohio University. He is eimployed by Dish Network.
August 2011: Rodney Dawson '89 began conditioning and training earlier this year to become a triathlete. He first participated in the Lake MetroParks Pirate Triathlon on July 24 in Fairport Harbor finishing an impressive twelvth in his age group. Two weeks later on August 7, he competed in the Greater Cleveland Triathlon held at Headlands Beach State Park. Competing in a 600-yard swim against four- to five-foot white caps in open water, a 12-mile bike course, and a 3.1 mile run, Rodney finished an amazing fifth in his age group in only his second competitive event! He has set a goal to compete in the 2012 Cleveland Triathlon at the international distance.
July 2011: Bob Dawson '69, has been awarded the Certified Workforce Development Professional credential by the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals. Bob is Program Administrator for the Lake County Department of Job & Family Services where he is responsible for public assistance and workforce development. He is one of only 31 Certified Workforce Development Professionals in the state!
June 2011: Brandon Staley '01 and Amy Ward will be wed on June 25, 2011 at St. Cyprian Catholic Church in Perry. Brandon is a 2005 graduate of the Unversity of Dayton. He is employed as the defensive coordintator and associate head coach at Hutchinson Community College in Hutchinson, Kansas.
June 2011: Ryan Harvey '07 has joined the Marine Corps and will undergo 13 weeks of intense training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, SC. Upon completion of recruit training, Ryan will attend one of 300 formal military occupational schools and start his life as a United States Marine.
April 2011: Pat New '80, has started a new venture, NEWGreen Legacy Services, Inc. in the old Neff Perkins facility in Perry. The business is a "green" initiative that will service the power industry in the US and Canada by decontaminating nuclear materials and equipment, and reconditioning nuclear motors pumps, valves and more. According toWally Siegel '74, director of the Perry Economic Development Council and Perry Township administrator, "This is the biggest project we've had since the Perry (Nuclear Power) Plant." Pat worked for FirstEnergy for 26 years and recognized the need for a local facility to decontaminate equipment. How fortunate for Perry that he chose his hometown to start his new endeavor.
April 2011: June Fryer '51, along with her husband Gaylord, owned and operated the outdoor Perry Flea Market on Route 20 in Perry and grew their business into Amish Cupboard & Crafts and then Perry Bargain Barn. In 2009, the Bargain Barn transferred ownership, and after it only 18 months in business, it closed. June and her family revived the Perry Bargain Barn in April 2011, with assistance from their two children (also Perry grads), Gaylinda Fryer Kerry '73 and Maurice Fryer '75, and some friends. In addition to the Bargain Barn being open year-round, they have moved the flea market indoors during the winter months so it's no longer a seasonal business.
February 2011: Mildred Kneisley Fisher '30, the Alumni Association's oldest member, passed away on February 21, 2011 at the age of 99. She was also a teacher in the Perry School District from 1934 to 1944. Click on Remembrances to view her obituary.
February 2011: Darcie Garofalo '04, is engaged to Mark Warmuth. Darcie graduated from John Carroll University in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is currently pursing a doctor of physical therapy at Cleveland State University. The wedding is August 20, 2011 at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church in Perry.
January 2011: Tammy (Gillespie) Pescatelli '87 has a new docu-series airing on WEtv called "A Stand Up Mother.
January 2011: Jennifer Stevens '07 is the recipient of the Charles A. Daily Family Scholarship from Mercyhurst College. She is a senior at Mercyhurst majoring in forensics-wildlife investigation.
December 2010: Derek Dawson '08 was named to the Honors College dean's list at the University of Akron for the 2010 fall semester. He is enrolled in the School of Nursing.
November 2010: Tammy (Gillespie) Pescatelli '87 will appear at the Improv Comedy Club, 200 Sycamore Street (in the Powerhouse on the West Bank of the Flats), Cleveland on November 12 and 13. October 2010: Craig Brackman '00 is engaged to marry Samantha Engle. The wedding is set for October 9, 2010 at St. John's Meeting House in Boardman. Craig graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. He is employed at Varantis Corporation in Middleburg Heights.
September 2010: Tom Trenney '95, an accomplished musician and the first organist to be awarded the Grand and Audience prizes from the American Guild of Organists' National Competition in Organ Improvisation, returned to Lake County recently to perform at the St. James Episcopal Church inaugural organ concert for the church's restored 84-year-old E.M. Skinner organ. Tom currently lives in Lincoln, Nebraska. He is a graduate of Cleveland Institute of Music and Eastman School of Music. He is the Minister of Music at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. He conducts the chidlren's and adult choirs, plays the Schoenstein organ, and serves as artisitic director of the acclaimed Abendmusik: Lincoln Concert Series.

September 2010: Alexandra Betteley '08 earned the 2010 National Excellence in Leadership Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success. She is a junior at Mercyhurst.
August 2010: Bob Dawson '69 was among the outstanding Lakeland Community College alumni to be inducted into the prestigious Lakeland Alumni Hall of Fame. The award is given to outstanding alumni whose contributions to the community were largely influenced by experiences and education at Lakeland. Since 1993, Bob has served as the Income Maintenance Administrator for the Lake County Department of Job and Family Services. Prior to pursuing this second career in public administration, he spent 34 years in business with the Neff-Perkins Company in Perry and the R.W. Sidley Company in Painesville. He has served on the governing boards of the Lake County Educational Service Center and Auburn Career Center. He also spent 10 consecutive years with the Lake County Educational Service Center as its board president. Bob also chaired Auburn's Superintendent's Evaluation Committee for the past eight years. He was a founding stakeholder for the Regional Healthcare Pathways initiative that addressed the educational aspects of the area's healthcare providers. Just last year he earned the Ohio Department of Agriculture Outstanding Fair Supporter Award. Bob has been affiliated with the Lake County Fair for 33 years, including 24 years as the concession manager and 12 years as board president. He is a past district director of the Ohio Fair Managers Association (OFMA) and was recently elected to his fourth consecutive two-year term as OFMA treasurer.
August 2010: Debbie and Brad Ashburn '77 and Lisa Courtwright Pierce '87, who make up three of the four members of the southern gospel quartet, Circle of Friends, hosted the Seventh Annual Gospel Trail in August. Circle of Friends will be releasing their sixth CD in August. Crowds of more than 1,000 people have attended this annual all-day gospel music concert.
August 2010: Serena Papalardo Arko '75 was selected News-Herald/Lake County Fair Commerce Queen. Serena was nominated by an anonymous customer of her business, Serena's Trophy World, in Mentor. She was selected based on providing great customer service.
August 2010: Cara Champion graduated from the University of Rochester on May 16 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Cell and Developmental Biology. Cara is a past receipient of the PHS Alumni Association Scholarship.
August 2010: Casey Greuber was one of eight recipients nationwide to earn a $2000 Harold and Maria Ransburg American Patriot Scholarship from the Association of Former Intelligence Officers. Casey is a junior at Mercyhurst College studying intelligence and maintains a 4.0 gpa. She recently completed two internships -- one in national security and the other in competitive business intelligence. She was nominated by faculty member Shelly Freyn, who said Casey is "a very ambitious, motivated and dedicated student who shows many attributes of not only a skillful analyst, but an effective leader." She went on to say that her work is detail-driven and that she is consistently focused on ensuring accuracy and a polished presentation of her research. Casey said she views obtaining the scholarship as "a tremendous honor and a way to further my future career goals." She added that she hopes to work in the intelligence community for the FBI's National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime or addressing national security interests within the United States Department of Defense.
August 2010: Andi Parhomovich's life (Class of '95) is memorialized in an essay by her father called "A New Normal." July 2010: Tom Wills '06, married Stephanie Frances Zalar on July 17, 2010 at St. Cyprian's Catholic Church. Tom is a 2010 graduate of Lake Erie College with bachelors degrees in sports management and business administration. He is employed as a sales representative at Verizon Wireless.
June 2010: Sarah King '06 graduated from Miami University of Ohio. She earned the highest academic achievement award from the Farmer School of Business in her major of Business Management and Organization. Along with her Bachelor of Science in Business, she earned university honors and graduated magna cum laude. Sarah was named to the dean's list every semester of her four years at Miami and she was recently inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. As one of the top recruits of Nestle Corporation, Sarah will begin her career working for Nestle at their headquarters in Glendale, California.
June 2010: Garet Prior '02 is engaged to marry Megan Webster on July 3, 2010 at the Blair Center in Westfield Center, Ohio. Garet graduated from Bowling Green State University and is a tenth grade history teacher in Richmond, Virginia.
May 2010: The newest class of inductees into the Perry High School Distinguished and Athletic Halls of Fame has been announced! Martha "Betty" Shepard-Behm '37 will join 24 members in the Distinguished Hall of Fame. Dennis Hudson '84, Renee Lynch '99, and Michael Patrick '00, will join 81 other members of the Athletic Hall of Fame. The inductions will take place in September.
May 2010: Mary Miller '04 has been accepted into the Peace Corps. She departed for Nicaragua on May 11 to begin pre-service training as a substainable food security Peace Corps volunteer. Upon graduation from volunteer training in August, she will be promoting rural community development and youth development in her community. During her first three months of service in the Peace Corps, Mary will live with a host family in Nicaragua to become fully immersed in the country's language and culture. After acquiring the language and cultural skills to assit her community, she will serve two years in Nicaragua, living in a manner similar to the people in her host country. Mary earned her Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Political Sceince from Ohio Universty in 2008.
May 2010: Megan Betteley '05 received her Bachelor of Science degree from Marietta College in May 2010.
May 2010: Sara Tackett '06 was named an Outstanding Senior at the annual Honor Day Ceremony at Baldwin-Wallace College. The Outstanding Senior awards are given to students who participated in a variety of activities and have contributed to the college. She is an English major in the Honors Program.
May 2010: Gabe Chiappone '98 is marrying Angela Beyke on November 6, 2010 in St. Henry, Ohio. Gabe is the son of Nicki Truman Chiappone '70 and Ignatius Chiappone. Angie is the daughter of Bill and Mary Beyke of St. Henry, Ohio. Gabe has his Master's in Business Administration from The Ohio State University and is the Lead CT Technologist at the Cleveland Clinic. Angie is a Senior IT Recruiter for Sapphire Technologies in Cleveland.
May 2010: Rachel Hofer '93 is engaged to Siddarth Rao. Their wedding is planned for June 5, 2010 in Oxon Hill, Maryland. Rachel is a graduate of The Ohio State University and works as a photographer in Arlington, Virginia.
April 2010: Laura Morton '03 is engaged to marry Nicholas Mason on July 31, 2010 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Rocky River. Laura graduated from Ohio Univeristy with a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and from Pace University with a Master's in Education. She is a Spanish teacher in Brooklyn, NY.
March 2010: Julianne Lynch '03 and Ryan Wallace '02 are making wedding plans! They'll be married on September 18, 2010 at Madison Country Club. Julianne graduated from The University of Toledo in 2007 and is employed at Cleveland Clinic Home Care Services. Ryan graduated from Lakeland Community College in 2009 with an Associate of Arts degree. He is employed at Robeks.
February 2010: Sharon Monas, PE teacher and coach from 1980-2009, was inducted into the Ohio Fast Pitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame!
February 2010: Alexandra Schober '06, was named to the dean's list at Otterbein College for the 2010 winter quarter.

January 2010: Gene Lutz '80, has been appointed to the position of Fire Chief of the Madison Fire District. Gene was a Perry Township firefighter for 18 years where he achieved rank of lieutenant. Since 2002 he worked in Trotwood, Ohio (near Dayton) and was an award-winning fire/emergency medical services chief. Gene earned his associate's degree in fire science from Lakeland Community College and a bachelor's degree in public safety management from Franklin University in Columbus.
January 2010: Kim Godfrey '04, is directingForbidden Broadwayat the Ashtabula Arts Center. Performing in the show is retired PHS Choir Director, Bob Godfrey.

January 2010: Amber Kinney '05 is engaged to Michael Poshe. Amber is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Dental-Medical Assistants and is pursuing a nursing degree at Cuyahoga Community College. The wedding is planned for April 2010.
December 2009: Timothy Gufreda '01, was inducted into the Dayton C. Miller Honor Society at Baldwin-Wallace College during a ceremony on December 5, 2009.
November 2009: Navy Seaman Matthew D. Trevathan '04 PHS grad, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training in Great Lakes, Illinois.
November 2009: Derek Lydik is engaged to marry Janine Piunno on November 7, 2009 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Gates Mills. Derek is an account executive at Lifeline Financial in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
October 2009: Mike Warmington '00, is engaged to marry Ashley Ogle on February 27, 2010 at LaMalfa Centre in Mentor. Mike attended Hocking College and is employed as the production manager at Beardslee Nursery in Perry.
October 2009: Tammy Pescatelli (Gillespie) '87 and comedian of Last Comic Standing fame, performed a fundraiser at the Cleveland Improv for The Andi Foundation. The Andi Foundation provides scholarships for female PHS graduates in memory of Andrea Parhomovich, Class of 1996, who lost her life when she was ambushed in Baghdad by an al-Qaeda coalition in 2007.
October 2009: Tom Adams is engaged to marry Adrian Fletcher. The wedding is set for August 14, 2010 at Avon Old Farms Inn in Avon, Connecticut. Tom earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo and his Master's from Bowling Green. He is employed at Regression Modeler in Phoenix, Arizona.
August 2009: Cara Champion, a former Alumni Association scholarship winner, was named to the dean's list at the University of Rochester for the spring semester. Cara is majoring in cell and developmental biology.
July 2009: Brittani Farinacci '04, graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences at Ohio Northern University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. While at college, she was active in the Professional Association of Women in Science, the American Chemical Society, Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority and the Adopt-A-Friend program.
July 2009: David Cassella '89, was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army.
July 2009: Mike Mrozek '05 was named to the dean’s list for the spring quarter 2009 at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and graduated with his Bachelor's degree in June.

June 2009: Meredith Wills '00, will marry Tony Cusman on July 25 at Stanton Park in Madison. Meredith is a 2008 graduate of Lake Erie College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in middle childhood education. She is a teacher at Summit Academy in Painesville.

May 2009: Jennifer Kochan’04 will marry Corey Rice on June 20, 2009 at Mooreland Mansion in Kirtland. Jennifer graduated from Bowling Green State University in December 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and minors in Art and Cognate. She plans to attend John Carroll University in the fall to pursue a degree in school psychology.
May 2009: Corey Sarosy ’95 will marry Kristen Morrison on May 23, 2009 at the Church of St. Mary in Chardon. Corey graduated from Grove City College in 1999 and is employed as a certified financial planner at Wachovia Securities in Mentor.
April 2009:Sixty-seven years of wedded bliss - that's what Dutch'40 and Marilyn '41 (Burt) Johnson celebrated on April 5, 2009. They were married April 5, 1942, at Perry United Methodist Church. Dutch worked at the Industrial Rayon for 31 years and Lake County Memorial Hospital for 14 years, retiring in January 1985. He is a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. Marilyn also worked at the Rayon for nine years. Their family includes children, Dennis '62 (Judy) of Custer, South Dakota, and Donald '64 (Cathy) of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Brenda (Andrew) Pierce of Painesville, Russ Johnson of Perry, Adam (Tonya) Johnson of Torington, Wyoming, and Marcie (Robert) Kress of Stow; and great-grandchildren, Jeramy and Jessica Johnson of Perry, Christopher and David Pierce of Painesville, Lane Grant and Tessia Johnson of Wyoming and Decker and Bryn Kress of Stow.
March 2009: Toni Nocida Kramer '81 was selected to serve on the State Superintendent's Parent Advisory Council (PAC). PAC volunteers learn about education programs, policies and legislation that they can share with their communities. They also serve as liaisons between local school communities and the Ohio Department of Education. Toni is one of 47 members statewide to serve in this capacity.
March 2009: Samantha Pitsenbarger '02, is engaged to Adam Pauline. Their wedding is set for July 4, 2009 at Amasa Stone Chapel in Cleveland. Samantha graduated for Case Western Reserve University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology and religion. She currently attends Cleveland Marshall College of Law as a full-time law student expecting to graduate in December 2009.
September 2008: Jackie Altenweg ’98, Donald Carter ’48, Judy Miller Church ’76, Nathan Comes ’96, Karl Locke ’36 and Michelle Rizzo Wardle ’98 were inducted into the PHS Alumni Hall of Fame.
February 2009: Jane Densmore Steger ’73, has a new venture, JDS Connects LLC, a management consulting firm. She works to enhance an organization’s brand, resulting in relationships with its customers, employees and community.
January 2009: Derek Dawson ’08, was named to the dean’s list at The University of Akron. He is enrolled in the College of Nursing. He is the son of Bob ’69 and Dawn (Langlois) ’85 Dawson.
January 2009: Becky (Miller)’80, Dan’80 and Jessica '05 Garryearned bragging rights in the City of Painesville Fifth Annual Chili Cook-off in January. They took Third Place in the Amateur Division with Becky’s grandmother’s recipe, “Grandma Gates’ Crazy Bean Chili.” Grandma passed away in November, but her spirit was with the Garry family as they competed for the first time in the Chili Cook-off.
January 2009: Alysa Friel ’08 was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University where she’s an accounting major.
December 2008: Amy Malone ’93 married Martin Brown in December 2008 in Los Lunas, New Mexico.
November 2008: Mildred Kneisley Fisher ’30, is recovering well following an unfortunate fall resulting in breaking her right hip. Mildred now lives in Pearland, Texas.
November 2008: Air Force Airman Tiffany Schreiber ’08, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
July 2008: Jodie Shook ’95 married Eric Eastwood in July 2008 at Los Muertos Beach in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
