What is needed to be Career Ready?

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) define career readiness as the attainment and demonstration of requisite competencies that broadly prepare college graduates for a successful transition into the workplace. The competencies associated with career readiness are:

Career Awareness
Career awareness is an exploration of possible career pathways and job opportunities as well as understanding what skills are needed in order to be successful. Many students learn more about themselves if they take a career interest inventory or assessment. Some of the student management systems, such as Naviance, have career inventories available.
