Enrichment Opportunities & Resources

Enrichment Opportunities

Perry Local Schools would like to provide parents and students information about Enrichment Opportunities. The district does not endorse any program over another, but is confident in each of the institutions publishing the information and sponsoring the programs.

Center for Talent Development (CTD) at Northwestern University

Students interested in the CTD program at Northwestern University are:
  1. looking for an opportunity to take an advanced course they might not be able to sign up for at your school,
  2. interested in delving deeply into a subject of interest whether it’s Math; Puzzles & Games or Creative Writing,
  3. seeking an opportunity to challenge themselves over the summer.
The Center for Talent Development Summer Program has gained global recognition as a premiere learning and life-changing experience for gifted students.

Through the Leapfrog, Spark, Solstice, Apogee, Spectrum, Equinox and Civic Leadership Institute course series, CTD serves outstanding students from PreK through grade 12, facilitating high achievement, self-confidence and a love of learning among all participants.

CTD offers programs for students who wish to be residents or commuters. Program sessions last one to three weeks, and students can apply for one, two or three sessions, depending on the program. Programs are held in Evanston, Elmhurst, Skokie, Palatine, Naperville and Chicago, Illinois (locations vary by program).

For students who can’t come to the Chicago area, CTD has a distance-learning program, Gifted LearningLinks (www.ctd.northwestern.edu/gll).
