PHS STEM Teacher Honored For Excellence
Perry Local Schools is pleased to announce that Perry High School science teacher, Mrs. Sarah Rivera has been selected to receive the 2016-2017 Lubrizol Lake County STEM Teacher Award. Lubrizol Corporation and The Lake County Educational Service Center co-sponsor the program to honor teachers who make a difference in science education.
Each year, two Lake County, Ohio science teachers at the elementary or secondary school levels, in public, private and parochial schools are recognized for their excellence in teaching science. Nominated by fellow science teachers, Mrs. Pat Betteley and Mrs. Blanche Davidson, Mrs. Rivera will receive an award of $5,000 to be used for science-related teaching expenses of her choice. Perry High School will also receive $5,000 to promote the school’s STEM program.
