Business & Technology teacher and Boys & Girls Cross Country head coach, Mr. Bill Sarvis, has been named the 2017 Chagrin Division Girls Coach of the Year by the Chagrin Valley Conference (CVC). The girls' team was also recognized for its outstanding season performance in winning the Chagrin Division of the conference.
A 25-year faculty member at Perry, Sarvis has coached the boys' and girls' cross country teams for the past 17 years, as well as assisting with indoor and outdoor track at the high school. His coaching career spans a total of 29 years.
In the classroom, Sarvis and his students create their annual Shark Tank presentations. Similar to the television show, this event is an inventive, student-initiated activity, which is a part of the Entrepreneurship program that he conducts as part of the Business curriculum at the high school.
Along with Perry, the Chagrin Division of the CVC includes Beachwood, Chagrin Falls, Geneva, Harvey, Orange, West Geauga and Wickliffe High Schools.
