Congratulations to our OMEA Honors Band Participants!

This year, four members of the Perry High School Band were invited to participate in the Ohio Music Education Association’s (OMEA) Districts Four and Seven Honors Band Festival hosted by Cleveland State University (CSU). Chosen for their outstanding musical abilities were, from left to right, junior, Gabriella Todd on clarinet, seniors, Abigail Wren on trumpet, Madeleine Pierce on flute and Katie Gyure on percussion. The Perry High School Band program is directed by Mr. Brad Hruska.

Students from schools all around the Greater Cleveland area participated in the Honors Band Festival. This year's festival, once again featured two Honors Bands, the Falcons and the Vikings. The bands were led by Dr. Birch Browning, Associate Professor of Music and the Director of Bands at CSU, and Captain Shanti C. Simon, Flight Commander for the United States Air Force Academy Band. Both performed in concert on Saturday, November 11th, in Waetjen Auditorium at CSU.
