Channel 3 interview: A Perry High School English teacher, local mom and published author has a new series of books coming out aimed at shaping young readers.

Every year, almost 2 million students take the ACT exam. Of those students, only .334% will earn a perfect score of 36. This year, current Perry High School junior, Ethan Hicks, is one of the proud few students to have achieved that accomplishment.

Perry High School student, Bradley Peters, was recently notified that he has been named the Lake County recipient of the 2021 Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award by the Educational Service Center of the Western Reserve (ESCWR). 

Perry second graders have been making friends with the residents of Danbury Assisted Living. Since 2019, the second-grade classes have been taking field trips to Danbury, and while the pandemic made things more difficult, it couldn’t stop these friends from seeing each other.

The Perry Service Learning Green Team at Perry High School has nominated their custodian, Denise Prior, to be considered for the Custodian Hero award, sponsored by PepsiCo Rally for Schools. The award recognizes custodians who promote and contribute to their school recycling programs.

Lake County Ohio’s Perry and Riverside school districts are pleased to announce they have been awarded $150,000 in a partnership with Blanchester and Walnut Township Local School Districts, EnvisionEdPlus, and Young Entrepreneur Institute from a RemotEDx grant.
